Salt & Pepper Mills from Peugeot
The production of Peugeot pepper mills and coffee grinders began in 1840. The lion emblem symbolizes the strength of the teeth and the flexibility and cutting speed of the blades. The Peugeot mill has maintained these standards and, 160 years after its creation, it remains the benchmark in its field! Peugeot pepper mills have an adjustable mechanism that allows the pepper to be ground to varying degrees, from coarse crushed pepper for grilled steak to a fine powder for delicate sauces. The pepper develops more flavour when it is ground at the time of use. Salt mills with adjustable stainless steel mechanisms are also available to match most styles of pepper mills.
The Rumour Mill Contest by Peugeot
Purchase a pair of specially marked Peugeot salt and pepper mills and receive a stackable set of salt and pepper, $13 value. Also receive the opportunity to enter into The Rumour Mill Contest, by Peugeot. Price range $90 to $110 for the pepper and salt sets.

Staff Tip
Beautiful and functional pepper mills are often overlooked as important kitchen tools. The taste of freshly ground peppercorns cannot be replaced with the freeze dried ground pepper bought at the supermarket. It's akin to drinking coffee made of freeze dried grounds verses freshly ground. Store your pepper mill in a small ramekin to gather bits of pepper. Get to know pepper well.
Pepper!
The Peugeot family of France, began in the manufacturing business in the 18th century. In 1842, they added production of coffee, pepper, and salt grinders.
Americans use more pepper than all other spices combined, consuming roughly 4 ounces per person per year.
Europeans generally prefer white pepper, while Americans consumer roughly twelve times more black than white pepper.
