Christmas Morning Brunch

One of my favourite Christmas traditions growing up was Christmas morning brunch.  Family would always gather at our house since my dad loved to cook for a crowd.  Dad always said the trick to success at brunch (or any entertaining for that matter) is to make ahead and be prepared.

We’ve got all the tricks and toys to help make brunch easier and more fun for you and the whole gang.  Serve hot European style coffees in the Nespresso coffee maker and sparkling mimosas to begin the festivities. Gluten Free Flour Blend

Make any recipe gluten free by using an all purpose gluten free flour blend.

• 2 cups white rice flour
• 1 cup brown rice flour
• 1 1/8 cups potato starch
• 3/8 cups tapioca starch
• 2 ½ teaspoons xanthan gum

Blend all ingredients and store in an airtight container

Mimosa Cocktails

FOR 8 Mimosa Cocktails

• 1 750 ml bottle chilled dry sparkling wine
• 3 cups (750 ml) chilled orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
• 1/2 cup (118 ml) Grand Marnier or triple sec (optional)

FOR 1 Mimosa Cocktail

• 1/3 cup (79 ml) chilled dry sparkling wine
• 1/3 cup (79 ml) chilled orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
• 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Grand Marnier or triple sec (optional)

Instructions

1. Fill 8 champagne flutes 1/2 full with chilled sparkling wine.
2. Top with orange juice.
3. If you are using, top mimosa with 1 tablespoon of Grand Marnier or triple sec.
