In the Kitchen with Family & Friends

Lamb Kebobs and TzatzikiThis month we're encouraging you to start a new tradition at your house. We're supporting families preparing meals and cooking together. Monday, February 18 is Family Day and we will be closed in honour of this day. We hope you find something special to do with your family, perhaps in the kitchen.

We've all read the studies that show families who eat together have closer relationships. But what about the families who cook together?

There's a deep appreciation and self satisfaction for contributing to a family meal. From scrubbing veggies, to slow cooking and everything in between, we've got ideas to help you cook together!

Cooking Tip

How to make hard boiled eggs that peel easily:  Add 1 tbsp. baking soda to the cooking water. It raises the pH of the water and makes them easier to peel by reducing the albumen's ability to stick to the shell.
