Birthdays, Mother's Day and Emile Henry

The month of May is special for so many reasons – The feeling of summer kicks off with the first long weekend in May, we celebrate Mother’s Day (waffles in bed anyone?) we start planting our vegetable and flower gardens and for sports lovers like me, it is the Stanley Cup playoff time. On a personal note, my grand mother, my father and my niece all celebrate their birthdays during the month of May. We would like to wish a Happy Birthday to our most sophisticated customer, Edith, who will turn 98 years young this month!

May is our ‘birthday’, too and “From the Kitchen to the Table” has now been on Broadway and in business for 15 years. A big thank you is necessary to all of you, our e-news readers, and customers as well as to all our suppliers. We are happy to say our newsletter is in its ninth season and still going strong. Many things have changed over the years and still many things are more or less the same.

2. Add a bit more milk if too thick or a bit of rice flour if too runny.

3. Can be made without eggs, if necessary;
   just add a little more liquid to make up for the eggs.
