The big day is closing in on us and before you know it we will be in our new digs! The saying goes “You need to give a little to get a little” so this means for us to hit the ground running on opening day we need to be CLOSED Tuesday September 29th & Wednesday, September 30th.

We will be OPEN Thursday October 1st for business at our new location,
163 First Street, 12:00pm noon until 7:00pm. We hope you are as excited as we are and invite you to visit us there.

Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes


  • 5 lbs. Yellow potatoes, peeled and roughly chopped
  • cup Butter, salted, cubed
  • 8 oz. Cream cheese, cubed
  • cup Cream, 10%
  • 1 tsp Salt and pepper each **

** In place of plain old salt and pepper try 3 tablespoons of The Ultimate Garlic Mashed Potato Seasoning by The Garlic Box, $9.50/ 120g.


  1. In a large saucepan add potatoes and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil and reduce heat, cover and cook until fork tender. Drain potatoes. Return to the saucepan place back on the burner on low heat and mash potatoes.
  2. Remove pot from the heat. Add the butter, cream cheese, cream and seasoning. Mash everything together.
  3. Turn potatoes out into a greased 9x13 or 3L casserole. Cover with lid or foil.
  4. Bake at 350 for 20 to 30 minutes or cover and refrigerate up to 2 days in advance. If refrigerated, then remove from fridge 30 minutes prior to baking then bake as above.

Cook time: 50 minutes
