Lynn's Favourite Peppermint Bar
½ Cup Butter
1 Cup White Sugar
1 Tsp. Salt
½ Tsp. Peppermint extract
2 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate
½ Cup Flour
Melt Butter and Chocolate. Remove from heat and add beaten eggs and beat well. Add sugar, peppermint, flour and salt. Beat well. Pour into greased 9”x9” pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cool.
1 Cup Icing Sugar
2 Heaping Tbsps. Butter
1 Tbsp. Milk or Cream
1 Tbsp. Peppermint Extract
Few drops green food coloring, if desired.
Mix sugar and butter until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread on first layer (base) and cool until set.
2 Squares Semi-Sweet Chocolate
2 Tbsps. Butter
Melt together cool and drizzle over second layer.
