Valerie's Favourite Olive Bread
Delicious!
This is a bread machine recipe using Canadian flour. Enjoy this bread plain or to put it over the top, dip into a herbed oil mixture with some balsamic vinegar drizzled in.
To make a large - 2lb loaf:
- 1 ¼ cups Warm Water warm
- 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups Whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 1 tsp Grated Lemon Peel
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- ¼ cup Chopped Green Olives
- 1 ½ tsp of Yeast
Use 2lb or large loaf setting on your bread machine.
I've had success with the French Bread setting (3hr 45min) with a light crust - each machine is different so you'll have to experiment.
