Knife Skills: Steak Knives

Steak knives are designed to be used at the dining table, and are therefore small, fitting in with other flatware. They are either serrated or fine-edge. Some people prefer the serrated blades because they stay sharper longer due to fact that not all the blade touches the hard cutting surface. Some folks prefer the fine-edge because it’s more easily sharpened although it can make a screeching sound against the plate. There is no right or wrong choice when choosing a steak knife.
